An architecturally designed new build is a chance to make your home exactly as you imagined.
To ensure the vision is carried out, we work collaboratively with your designer throughout the build process. As custom home builders, we enjoy the challenge of working with narrow and sloped sites, new materials and innovative construction techniques.
We specialise in architectural renovations and extensions that preserve the character of Queenslanders and post-war cottages.
Our experience means we can plan for common problems that arise on the renovation of older homes and advise you ahead of time of what to expect. This gives you confidence from day 1 of the project.
We really do enjoy what we do, and it shows in our work and service. Because we believe in doing things right the first time, nothing is ever too hard.
Chances are you will only build a forever home once in your life. That’s why we make the experience the best it can be.
Our founder Dayne supervises the entire process of building your home. He is one of those people who is always a few steps ahead, which means you can be sure he has thought of everything when managing your project. Dayne visits the site every day to keep the project on track and provide you with up-to-the-minute updates.
As custom home builders, every project we work on is different. Factors including materials, site condition, custom finishes and the size of the home all affect the price of the home, and for that reason we do not provide estimates without a set of plans to quote from. However, we can engage with your architect or draftsperson during the design phase to advise on cost, ensuring the project falls within your budget before the plans are finalised.
Above all else, we know that budget management is one of your biggest concerns. That is why we put so much effort into our quotes. We take the time to think of every possible scenario and explain these to you in detail. We do not rush this process, and that makes all the difference to your peace of mind.
The thing to keep in mind about building a home is that there will inevitably be problems out of our control. Sometimes we don’t know what’s hiding behind an existing wall, materials get delayed or the weather takes a turn – but that is where our experience makes all the difference. You are advised what to expect before the build commences, together with any issues we anticipate occurring. And when challenges do arise, we have the experience to solve problems quickly and keep the project on track.
The important thing is that you click with the person you are dealing with and feel they share your values.
Your home is the biggest investment you will make, so we recommend you look for someone who respects that. For this reason, we do not recommend going off price alone. You should also make sure the builder can demonstrate experience on similar projects and takes the time to explain their pricing and process to you. These things make a world of difference during construction.
Construction timeframes vary based on how much work is involved in your project – this could be anywhere from 12 weeks through to 6–12 months. Once we know the scope of your project from our initial conversations, we can provide an indication to assist with your planning.
