Thoughtful architectural design saw this post-war house evolve into a modern family home. We carried out the vision for a clean and crisp update, using timber and custom joinery to add warmth.
The starting point of the renovation was extending the rear of the home to create more living space. The extension adds a new gabled roofline to the home, with skylights to flood the interior with natural light. In the lower part of the home, a new kitchen, internal stairs, second bathroom, laundry and fireplace were added. Upstairs, the existing main bathroom, master suite and walk-in robe were updated, and the original timber floors were carefully restored. And finally, a clever storage system was added to the attic to improve the home’s functionality.
Our experience renovating post-war homes made this a straightforward project that was completed without any unforeseen complications arising.

“We set out with a goal to create a New Farm style renovation in East Brisbane and we are ecstatic with what Dayne and team have achieved for us. Dayne understood the brief and our vision from the go. He managed the project with exceptional drive, attention to detail and the renovation was completed within the original agreed timeframe. We would not hesitate to use Dayne on future projects.”
